Starting point of the path that leads to the hermitage of Camaldoli, one of the most beautiful segments of the Alta Via dei Parchi! Definitely deserves to be visited for the millenary forest in which it is immersed.

Located at 1,296 meters above sea level, Calla is the highest road pass in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines. It is located between the provinces of Forlì, Cesena and Arezzo and was opened only in the 1930s. Before then, the only passages through this area were simple mule tracks for transporting wood that was transported from the forests to Casentino and then "rivered" towards Florence.
