An idyllic place with art galleries, beer gardens and narrow streets and a number of sights such as Brunntor, "Haus im Berg" and Steinerne Brücke. There is also ice cream! Unfortunately for racing cyclists a lot of plaster. You can also sit down on the banks of the Naab in front of the market administration, but you can also stroll in the direction of the Brunntor an der Naab and take a break on the benches. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments, from pizza to cafés to beer gardens.

In the north-east of the village there is a youth campground, which is also accessible to families, located directly on the Naab. But you have to register with the groundskeeper beforehand (google for "Zeltplatz Zaar Markt Kallmünz").

In summer, the paragliders, which start from the Schloßberg, are always an eye-catcher. The thermals are obviously quite favorable here and even allow the gliders to rise above the castle.

Kallmünz also has a lot to offer for athletes: the Kallmünz Spring Run and the Sparkasse Triathlon are great events every year, which are organized by the clubs in the very active community.

Kallmünz is the ideal destination or starting point for a bike tour along the Naab. There are several restaurants in Kallmünz. If you want to visit the castle ruins, it is best to leave your bike at the bottom and go up on foot.
