Here you benefit from both a beautiful viewpoint and also have the possibility of taking the path of the century-old cedar forest.

This forest has only existed since 1860. The trees are, however, very imposing and there is a peace here that is only found in certain forests. It is a well-hidden but essential site for nature lovers in the Luberon.

From the parking place you will see 4 recommended tours thru the forest. All four are nice, easy to do, and different. They are marked with blue, red, yellow, or green markers. The blue tour is for handicapped people and is suitable for wheelchair access. The other three could conceivably be made with good sports shoes, but I would recommend hiking boots to protect your feet.

With the green tour you will see the most cedar trees, the yellow and red tours pass by a point where there is a wonderful view over the Durance looking south.

From one of the highest points of the Petit Luberon, you can not only look south over the Durance valley, but also to the Alpilles - the motif of many Van Gogh paintings and other artists - and in the distance the Alps rise. The cedar forest itself is "only" since 1860, initially only as an attempt to grow fast-growing trees from North Africa. In the area there are many well-marked, short hiking trails, one of them even suitable for wheelchairs and a large hiking car park. Also the view to the northern valley, about 2km east of the trail parking lot worth it: You can visit the beautiful Bonnieux and other places such. Lacoste or Mt. Ventoux look
