On top of the 475 meter high Zabelstein is an observation tower accessible at all times. On its platform high above the treetops you have a unique view over the northern Steigerwald and the surrounding landscape. The view sweeps over the Schweinfurt basin and in good visibility to the 80 kilometers far away Rhön.

The new observation tower on the Zabelstein in the Schweinfurt district is around 18 meters high. The tower was made of wood and steel and meets the latest safety standards. The newly built observation tower is already the fourth tower in the same place. From its viewing platform, it offers a distant view of the Steigerwald foreland, and in clear weather even as far as the Main Valley, the Haßberge and the Rhön.
