Every day the Molli runs through the middle of Bad Doberan's main shopping street with a cheerful jingle, past the oldest racecourse on the European continent, to Heiligendamm train station. Here the train conductor controls the switches by hand and winds down the barrier booms when the train approaches. At the Kühlungsborn West terminus, the Molli Museum invites you to take an excursion into railway history. The entrance is in the adjacent museum café, which is open daily. Entrance to the museum is free. However, donations are requested to maintain it.

The Bäderbahn Molli, also known as The Molli or Molligenannt, is a steam-powered narrow-gauge railway in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Their gauge is 900 millimeters. The 15.43-kilometer route is operated today by the railway company Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli (MBB) and connects Bad Doberan with Heiligendamm and the Baltic Sea resort Kühlungsborn. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Within Bad Doberan, the train rides on grooved rails, which lie in the pavement, similar to a tram, through the named after her Mollistraße. In the further course, it is on Vignol rails along a Lindenallee trassiert. Between Heiligendamm and Ostseebad Kühlungsborn the route runs parallel to the Baltic coast over fields.
