    Fairly poorly indicated route, during our loop starting with the southern part we went too far... Intermediate level but be careful, I would say between medium and difficult. When you can cross the bed of the river, you have to cling to the trees to be able to go up or down. It's sporty for someone who is not used to it.
    In winter, with the rains, it is often impossible to do the loop due to the water level. In summer it is totally dry, we walk in the bed of the river.

        Hike rated easy level but even just the round trip to the river would deserve medium or even difficult level for people with little training or badly equipped (lots of stone, unevenness, and you have to hang on to trees to avoid falls),
        On the other hand, the walk is worth the detour, beautiful place!

          Superb spot, but be careful: even if the water has receded, the rocks slide when it has rained recently! Quite a bit of elevation gain concentrated around the banks, with passages approaching 30%.

            Discover a wild site by descending from the Cévennes, in the Séranne massif. Close to the Pic Saint-Loup, the Hérault river has sculpted wild gorges, both verdant and mineral.

            Labeled Grand Site de France Gorges de l’Hérault, renewed in 2018, and two Natura 2000 sites, the Ravin des Arcs is recognized for its high environmental and landscape value. It is home to several endangered species.

                We visited in the summer during a long drought, which made it possible to follow the route. This might be different if there's been a lot of rain or in winter.
                We had to climb quite a few sections, but there were some beautiful sights. Definitely recommended.

                  An exceptional site, but one that can quickly become dangerous if you're careless.
                  The arch is a nice sight!
                  Note that there's a hole in the middle that you can descend (by canyoning or caving), and then jump into the water (depending on the season), at the end of a rope, of course.
                  The water is stagnant, not very enjoyable in the summer. The rest of the river is dry in the summer. It's a good opportunity to explore the caves, which are fairly easy to access, even if you reach the end of the line quite quickly.
