It makes me happy that such seemingly untouched mountain meadows still exist in our part of the world. It's all the more important that they are protected and preserved. In addition to the diverse flora and fauna, you can also enjoy magnificent views of rolling hills and isolated trees here.

The nature reserve "Ithwiesen" is part of one of the largest contiguous grassland areas in the Lower Saxon mountains and hills. The flowery mountain meadows and other little fertilized areas with typical species such as medicinal zies, cowslip, meadow caraway and devil's bite are particularly valuable.
The area is crossed by paths with species-rich hems and divided by numerous bushes and single trees. The Ith glider airfield is included, but its flight operations are not restricted.
