The narrow pedestrian bridge is named after Louise Henriette of Orange. The wife of the great elector came from the Netherlands and had fallen in love with the wide open landscape around Oranienburg on a hunting trip. The elector bequeathed the castle to her and since then the castle and the surrounding town have been called Oranienburg.
