The Josefsteg is 135 meters long and is located on the so-called Tischwasser not far from the Dechantlacke and allows you to cross an oxbow lake of the original Danube that was until recently drained.

Nice viewing platform and bridge. Very good for nature and animal observation, for example the European pond turtle, a really rare animal. This turtle's habitat is really threatened and it's getting smaller and smaller. The Josefsteg was built by the armed forces in 2001.
