You start on the very well signposted hiking trail at the observatory and solar observatory "Peter Anich" and the inn Untereggerhof (day of rest Wednesday), where you can also park.
Behind the farm building you can see the two domes of the observatory and the solar observatory, which represents the sun. The planetary path simulates our planetary system on a scale of 1: 1 billion. After a short time we reach the planets Mercury, Venus, and Earth on steel stealings. Always following the mark you will reach Mars. After a small climb the 5th planet Jupiter awaits us. After a romantic forest with beautiful views you come to the sixth planet, the Saturn. First, the planet path continues on the access road, but then flows into a beautiful forest with biotope. Cross the main road and walk on to the Landgasthof Lärchenwald (refreshment stop - Tuesday rest day), where at km 3.0 the 7th planet Uranus is reached. In the sequence, the path leads up to the Jaiterhof, continue to the house Waldpeter and you reach the highest point (1420m) of the Planetenrundwanderweg.
From here it falls evenly in the direction of the courtyards Gattl and Hinterbühler and then leads along the forest path down to Schenkenparkplatz. In the forest area west of the Hinterbühler Hof, the 8th Planet Neptune is reached. As a result, the path is almost flat to the Moser-Weiher.
Here, the trail turns right at Waldsaum in the direction of Edenhof, where the lowest point (1250 m) is the way. From here, however, it rises again towards the viewpoint Tschigg Hof, where the ninth planet of the solar system Pluto is reached. From the Tschigg farm, the circle closes and you first walk to the right to the end of the meadow past a small biotope, at the fork in the road to the left and at the next intersection turn left again, where the path then leads directly back to the observatory.
