The Annunciation Church (Slovenian: Cerkev Marijinega oznanjenja) or Franciscan Church (Frančiškanska cerkev) is located on Prešeren Square in Ljubljana and was built between 1646 and 1660. The façade rises dominantly over the main square and opposite "Three Bridges" (Tromostovje), making the church one of Ljubljana's landmarks.
The early Baroque building is composed of the nave and two aisles. After many of the original frescoes were destroyed in the earthquake of 1895, the Impressionist Matej Sternen was commissioned with the redesign.
The nearby Franciscan Monastery, which has existed since the 13th century, houses a remarkable library of incunabula and medieval manuscripts.
