The Roman camp, directly on the Römer-Lippe route, is well worth seeing! Everything is very well documented and you can get an overview in the information hut. The old camp has been recreated with meadows and paths and there are information boards everywhere.

The site excavated and explored since 1968 gives a small impression of the size and importance of this camp on the Lippe. It probably had the same meaning as other Roman camps, e.g. in Haltern and Xanten. However, this camp here has been built only of wood and earth, which is why no imposing structures such. more in Yanten. Spas and similar facilities were also available here.
