There used to be 40 velodromes in Mallorca. In the 1960s, however, Mallorcans lost interest in cycling. The railway in Sineu is one of two remaining railways. The other track is in Son Moix.

The Velodrome is getting a bit old and the surface is in a corresponding condition. It is open to everyone for free. In the meantime, the relevant tour operators also seem to have discovered the Velodrome for themselves, so that you regularly meet groups there who want to try out / measure themselves on the track. Plenty of fun and action is guaranteed.

If you are in the area with a racing bike, you should visit the track and "play" as a track cyclist. In any case, standing attempts, sprint starts from the banked curve and a few time trial laps were a lot of fun for us.
