Tour description

This scenic hike for the whole family leads to the idyllic Schnappenkircherl in the Chiemgau Alps (Bavaria). The path climbs to 1,113 m and is so easy that even children and less experienced hikers can enjoy it.

Description
The start is at the hiking car park in Marquartstein, from there it goes towards Hochgern and after 300 m left onto Schnappenweg. At Scherbenstein the path makes a steep left turn. After slight inclines the comfortable path soon emerges from the forest. Below the Predigtstein the path leads (mainly through the forest) to the historic Schnappenkirche.

Descent
The same path takes you back to the valley.
