Mosaic Canyon is one of the most attractive easily reachable of the many narrow Death Valley canyons with colorful layers of rocks and clay, via a 2 mile gravel road that regular cars can drive without problem most of the time, and where it is is easy to hitch a ride with other tourists from Stovepipe Wells. Mosaic Canyon is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Death Valley. It is easy walking and accessed and shows you great diversity of scenery and a good impression of desert canyons. You will find colorful mosaics, fine marble and stunning narrows. The upper canyon sees few visitors, but the hard-to-reach Twin Springs are worth climbing a little longer.

Nice climb in the Wisch or Cannyen, with sand-marble-like rock and river bed. There are such beautiful side trails there.
