The oak, some of which is already half dead, is said to be around 1,000 years old. It was fenced in so that visitors cannot get too close as there is a risk of dead branches falling off. It has a tree trunk diameter of approx. 13 meters. Impressive sight. There are a few benches with tables in front of her.

If you are ever in southern Sweden you should enjoy nature too. Unlike in Sweden, universal right applies in Sweden. The hiking trails are excellent, but unlike ours the forest is not "cleaned up", so that you really in the rough nature is on the way and schonmal after looking around if something is in the way.

The oak was not fenced off to protect it from falling branches, but because the old tree needs to be protected from visitors. Getting too close damaged the roots badly, so hopefully the tree will survive for a long time due to the protective fence and possibly recover a little.
