The oil mill is part of a mill complex of the Braker Castle. This also includes the castle mill and the sawmill on the opposite bank of the Bega. The oil mill was built in 1806 and operated until 1925. There is a wooden model of the grinder, with the help of which one can learn something about how it works. Unfortunately no fixed opening times. By appointment only: vere-alt-lemgo.de

Anyone who visits the castle is in the immediate vicinity of the mill and should not miss it. The view from the back against the current is terrific and it's nice that there are people who remember and keep such buildings. Thanks
