        This is the Luppewehr (not the Elsterflutgrabenwehr on the Heuweg).
        The Luppewehr, located in the landscape protection area, forms the northern end of the Elster Basin together with the Nahlewehr and the Lower Elsterwehr. Together, the 3 weirs regulate the storage of the magpie basin and the flood drain. The Luppewehr was built in 1954, in 2004 the system was rebuilt.
