The property at Mirke 9, 10, 11, 12 is the remainder of a courtyard complex built around 1630 (Teschemacher Hof). The complex consists of two three-storey half-timbered buildings built at right angles to each other on rubble-stone base masonry. The northwest side has visible half-timbering, while the remaining facade surfaces are slated. The northeast facade shows half a gable with a crooked hip and merges into a three-storey facade. The individual storeys protrude from there via grooved lugs. This area is probably the oldest part of the complex, as the construction has the characteristics of Renaissance buildings. On the southwest gable is an interesting, bay-like extension that looks like a small house chapel. Both buildings have gable roofs with small hips on the gable sides, and the south-western roof also has a small bell tower as a turret. The building is not only one of the oldest, outstanding half-timbered buildings in Elberfeld, but is also important for the history of Elberfeld as the place where the famous organ builder Jakob Engelbert Teschemacher (1711 - 1782) worked.
