The Latemse Molen in the East Flemish Sint-Martens-Latem is a post mill that, until its restoration in 1977, stood on a site where a corn mill already stood in 1373. This belonged to the properties of the Saint Bavo Abbey. This ban mill was destroyed during religious disputes in the second half of the sixteenth century. The current mill was built in 1614. The last major restoration dates back to 1977, where the mill was moved 88 meters to obtain better windage. In 2006 the mill was lifted from its foot because the stone beam had become too weak and the mill could fall over.
