Haus Heisingen is a former manor on the right bank of the Ruhr in Essen-Heisingen, whose oldest surviving building dates back to the 12th century.

As a fiefdom of Werden Abbey, it was owned by the barons Staël von Holstein for over two centuries from 1458 before it was converted into a summer residence for the Werden abbots at the beginning of the 18th century. After secularization, it first came to Prussia in 1815 and then into private ownership in 1890. Today there are rental apartments in the complex.

The great importance of the house for the town was reflected in Heisingen's unofficial coat of arms. This shows Haus Heisingen in a very simplified form as a crenellated wall with a stone arched gate under six red balls, which were taken from the Staël von Holstein family coat of arms.

Legend has it that a knight at Haus Heisingen in 1350 communicated with an Italian named Bardelli, who, like the famous Count Cagliostro, claimed to be able to produce gold with the help of chemistry. However, since he could not provide practical proof of his claim, the Knight of Heisingen had him incarcerated as a punishment in a niche of the Knights' Hall. About 500 years later, a human skeleton was actually found during construction work on Haus Heisingen.
