The heavy square tower stump still towers above the houses of Sint Anna ter Muiden. It is a remnant of a 14th century Gothic cruciform church. From the traces in the four side walls one can deduce that the tower was built between the choir, the nave of the church and two transepts. The old tower can be climbed via a spiral staircase. The height shows how impressive the building must have been in the past.

Sint Anna ter Muiden is a district of the municipality of Sluis (Zeeland province, Netherlands). It is located about one kilometer west of Sluis, directly on the border with Belgium, and is the westernmost point of the Netherlands (excluding overseas territories). The town has had city rights since 1242 and, with 55 inhabitants (2021), competes with Staverden, Bronkhorst, and Eembrugge for the title of smallest town in the Netherlands. The town was independent until 1880, after which it was incorporated into Sluis.
