The current building dates from around 1900 and is a Neo-Renaissance style mansion with stepped gables and a gabled roof. The building contains remains from the 15th and 16th centuries, constructed from recycled rubble from the castle that burned down in 1795. The foundations and lower part of the castle are remains of a 12th-century fortress. In the basement there are parts of a carved fireplace from around 1725. The closed 19th-century courtyard Karsveld with keystone '1819' near the castle originally belonged to the castle.
