Opposite the train station stands a magnificent old post tower. The tower was built in 1885 with red sandstone in the late classicist style and has corner turrets and battlements. It was built by a well-known Lambrecht cloth manufacturer. The tower served as a water tower. The post office later acquired the tower, hence its name. The tower now belongs to the town of Lambrecht.

"Built in 1885 by the cloth manufacturer Carl Marx as a water and observation tower with library and bathtub. - Purchased from the post office in 1928 and used until 1960 to deliver the extensive parcel and letter post to the higher station, then left to your own devices. - At the request of the City administration under monument protection since 1985. Acquisition by Stadtwerke in 1987. - In the possession of a hunting tenant since 1997, afterwards extensive restoration and homely interior fittings. "
