The Can Moritz Fountain is in the Castellnou urbanization, opposite Calle Cabrera 87 de Rubí. Louis Moritz belonged to a German bourgeois family that moved to Barcelona in the mid-nineteenth century, where he later founded the "Moritz" beer. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Can Matarí or Castellnou estate was bought by Louis Moritz, who used the farmhouse as a summer home. Decades pass and the large farm is sold, creating the Urbanization. The Fountain is covered by vegetation, but in 2015 some residents of the urbanization notified the Rubí de Raíz entity of the discovery of the modernist fountain, built in 1922. From then on, a project was carried out for its recovery, carried out during the year 2017. The structure is below ground level, which leads down a set of stairs. The water leaves a mine through an elongated iron tube and ends up in a pond located in the middle. Next to the fountain there are stone seats attached to the wall. Through a wooden bridge we can go to a picnic area with tables.
