The Gothic St. Martini Church in Stadthagen was built in 1230, but was replaced by a larger building in 1318. Its striking 42.3 meter high tower still shapes the cityscape today. Various building elements added in the Middle Ages and early modern times give the church its current form. A special feature is the organ, which was first mentioned in a document in 1559 and has been preserved to this day through extensive restoration work.
