The Schaumburg Landwehr, also called Schaumburger Landknick, was a Landwehr built in the late Middle Ages. It ran on the northern edge of the county Schaumburg and crossed the Schaumburg forest, where it has been preserved on about 25 kilometers. Because of their extensive preservation, the remaining ditches and ramparts of the Landwehr are an important archaeological monument in the district of Schaumburg.
