The Luftsportverein Papenburg-Hümmling has its airfield on the road from Surwold to Breddenberg. The clubhouse is located north of the road and belongs to Surwold. The hangar and the runway on the south side, belonging to Börger.
Depending on the wind direction, the starting point is at the western or eastern end. Both places are accessible via paved roads. (Do not cycle over the terrain!)
From spring to autumn, you can usually watch the flight operations on weekends and holidays, or even fly.

If the Papenburger build ships, as they frequent their club airfield, then we would not have to talk about Emsvertiefung etc. - that would not exist then. It's like ANDREAS writes: Spring and summer is here something going on - otherwise you can watch the grown on the surface of various herbs growing - which certainly has its charm ....
