The Invalides mill was built in 1682 by order of Robelin, engineer of the King of France, by former soldiers whose injuries prevented them from continuing to serve the army... Hence the name.
The elevation of the mill on the course of the Lacquette carries a vertical side wheel with flat blades, replaced thanks to the association "Le Patrimoine Airois".
