At the Eitzmühle the Nordpfad Zwei Mühlen starts. A small parking lot is available. On Sundays, the café is open in the mill and there are delicious homemade cakes and coffee. Very comfortably furnished.

The water mill at the Eitzte farm on the Oberoste, near Selsingen, was mentioned in written records as early as 1300. It was further towards Rockstedt and belonged to the Count of Hoya. There was no other mill in Selsingen and the surrounding area at the time; they were milling guests at the Eitzmühlen water mill.

Since 1856, the Eitzmühle belonged to the miller Hinrich Burfeind of Eitzmühlen and was located here. In 1862, the Eitzmühle became the property of the Stade wood and grain merchant Jürgen Hinrich Hagenah, who leased it to the miller Meisterknecht. Two years later, Hagenah had the mill thoroughly renovated and doubled in size.

The energy generated by the water was transferred to the sawmill opposite via a transmission.

On April 1, 1941, the water mill in Eitzmühlen was so badly damaged by ice that it was no longer functional. The dam was also no longer there.

In 1991, the watermill was bought by the Selsingen Mill Protection Association and restored between 1993 and 1997.

Since April 1, 2017, the Martin family from Selsingen has leased the watermill and runs the Oste Café here.

The Oste Café in the Eitzter Mühle is open from March 21 to October 25 every Saturday, Sunday, on public holidays and by arrangement from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

There is a nicely furnished café in the Eitzer Mühle, but it is closed in winter. The mill building, together with the Oste, is a perfect photo motif. From here, a specially marked access route leads to the northern path Zwei Mühlen, the official starting point of which is the mill.

Since April 1, 2017, the Martin family from Selsingen has been leasing the watermill and running the Oste Café, which is known beyond the borders of the Rotenburg (Wümme) district. From Good Friday until the end of October, the café offers homemade cakes and pastries, among other things, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
