"he city church bears the name" Corporis Christi "from the Latin" translated to the holy body ".

It is a three-aisled late Gothic hall church of 4 bays, with an elongated choir house and a mighty tower base between the nave and choir. There is remarkable cultural property inside the church. The jewel is the earthen pulpit created in 1565, created by the Strehla potter and sculptor Melchior Tatzen, who accomplished his most valuable masterpiece at the age of 24.

The Protestant town church Strehla is a late Gothic church in Strehla in the district of Meißen in Saxony. It belongs to the Strehla parish in the Grossenhain church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Saxony and was richly furnished with an altar, pulpit and tombs in the early modern period.
