Along the way there are several imposing sandstone formations, some of which are as high as a house and are used as climbing areas, which can be easily recognized by the white magnesium powder stains and the embedded hooks.
From some rocks you can enjoy magnificent views of the landscape.

Along the trail, there are several viewpoints offering views over the Nideggen stream and into the Rur valley. On the other side, you can see the village of Nideggen and its castle perched on a rocky outcrop. The path is beautifully rocky and crisscrossed with roots, and follows the slope the entire way.
