The ferries and their ferry times are not taken into account, especially since the F 24 only runs once an hour on weekends and the ferry from Neu Heligoland does not run on Mondays

Until 1945 there was no bridge here and no other way to cross the old arm of the Spree. It was not until 1945 that the Red Army built a pontoon bridge here to reach Müggelheim and Köpenick through the forest. The people of Hessenwinkl must have liked the bridge so much that they had a new bridge built in 1953... today known as the Russian Bridge. The bridge's wooden railing also has a somewhat Russian-Slavic touch.
