St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica are two of the most iconic sites in the Vatican and in Christianity. Designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini between 1656 and 1667, St. Peter's Square is famous for its impressive colonnade that symbolises the arms of the Church extended to welcome the faithful.

The dome of St. Peter's is one of the largest and majestic in the world, with an inner diameter of approximately 42 meters and a height of more than 130 meters. The dome was designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti, who made the drum, and completed by Giacomo della Porta and Domenico Fontana, who gave it a pointed shape. The dome is decorated with mosaics depicting the Eternal Father, the angels, the saints and the prophets. From the dome you can enjoy a beautiful view of Rome and the Vatican.
