When descending, the hut is in the right place. She's a little early for the ascent. In front of the hut you can also take a little nap on the shortly mowed meadow. On nice days there are a lot of people.

Nice hike from the FalzaregoPass. Condition, tread and head for heights are required! But the way to the hut offers a magnificent nature experience. The cabin is extremely beautiful, you are great and that food is more than recommended. And there is even a picnic area, if you want to miss the great food there.

For very "sensitive minds" with fear of heights the way to the hut from Passo Falzarego is not necessarily suitable. For everyone else it is a great impressive way to a absolutely worthwhile hut!

From Passo Valparola quite easy path to Rifugio Scotoni into the wonderful Fanes Natural Park with its incredible colours. Then going down to Capanna Alpina.
Difficulty: easy

The Scotoni Hut is a real highlight in the Dolomites and the perfect stopover for hikers. It is picturesquely situated at an altitude of 2,040 metres, surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. From here you can explore destinations such as Lake Lagazuoi, the Fanes plateau or the Falzarego Pass. The hut is known for its excellent regional cuisine - be sure to try the grilled dishes and delicious desserts. Enjoy the breathtaking view and the warm atmosphere before continuing your tour!

A super nice hut with delicious food and very friendly staff. Important: the kitchen isn't open all day, so be sure to check the times if you want to eat something. There's also an area where you can bring your own packed lunch.
