Impressive industrial monument to the history of limestone mining in Rüdersdorf. Not only were the building materials for Berlin and Brandenburg mined and processed here, but the impressive facilities also served as a backdrop for numerous films from the silent film era to the present day. Rüdersdorf can be seen as a cradle of German film history. For example, the films "The Tiger of Eschnapur" parts 1 and 2 and "Hatifa" were filmed here, with the view of the impressive kilns being transformed into Indian temples. In more recent times, films about the Second World War have also been shot here.
