The predecessor of this beautiful church dated back to around 1200, and at the beginning of the 15th century, the pilgrimage church of St. Adolari was expanded into its present form. The sacristy was added around 1684. The interior, with the largest Gothic Marian cycle in North Tyrol, is particularly worth seeing. It's well worth a visit, and you can also stop for refreshments at the Gasthof Adolari (Adolari Inn).

The pilgrimage church of St. Adolari is located at the northern tip of the Pillersee. Saint Adolari is considered the patron saint of cattle, an important companion in a predominantly rural area. The foundations of the pilgrimage church date back to the year 1200. A very special cultural sight of sacred art can be admired here: the exposed painting of the net rib vault shows the largest Gothic Marian cycle in North Tyrol.
