The gate tower is the symbol of Allersberg and was completely renovated in 2016. The tower is used by the market town for receptions, exhibitions and cabaret events. Seat of the "Allersberg Gate Tower Cabaret". In the past centuries, the tower not only had a protective function, it was also home to the first school in Allersberg, because the towers were at the same time school masters, musicians, wedding loaders and mortuary bitters, mesners and night watchmen. The tower was notoriously known as "Allersberger Loch", the detention center for "dark figures".

The Lower Gate in Allersberg, a market town in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria, was essentially built in the 14th century as part of the city fortifications. The city gate at Marktplatz 11, next to the former hospital, is a protected architectural monument.
