The Dreiherrenstein marks the boundaries of the Kingdom of Prussia (KP), the Duchy of Coburg-Gotha (HCG) and the Grand Duchy of Weimar-Eisenach (GWE).

The rather unobtrusive stone is about 50 meters away from the Rennstieg and again very easy to reach (Sept. 2018).

The Dreiherrenstein can be reached on a short detour from the Rennstieg. Despite the many windbreaks, it is easily accessible on the uneven cul-de-sac.
