The Biebelried district of Westheim now officially has a leisure area, located at the Lorenz spring. With an ecumenical festival service with deacon Lorenz Kleinschnitz and pastor Michael Schiller, the area has now been handed over to its intended use.
It is the source that gives life and that enriches the places Biebelried, Kaltensondheim and Westheim, explained Kleinschnitz and underlined that a place of reflection and pause in the great outdoors was created at the source.
Pastor Schiller described the place as idyllically situated at the intersection of the three villages. The two clergy performed a symbolic washing with fresh spring water on those responsible.
A special, by no means ordinary, water comes to light here, as Kleinschnitz noted and his colleague Schiller added to his experiences from his childhood when water was still viewed as something special and precious. A person can survive several days without food, but not without water. For both denominations, according to the clergy, the source stands symbolically on the cultural path - like a church as a spiritual source, so to speak.
