The Mandolinenhütte is stamp number 142 of the Harzer hiking nobility and is also easily accessible by bike: coming from Lautenthal via the Innersteradweg, then right along the road for a while and then left onto the forest path.
The mandolin hut is part of the Steinway Trail and, in addition to the shelter, also offers a nice seating area with a view of the Innerstetalsperre and a hinted harp
