The Franckepark is located in Berlin-Tempelhof and was named after Theodor Francke. Together with the Alter Park, Lehnepark and Bose Park, the park forms a local recreation area in Berlin-Tempelhof. There is a rose garden here. The fallow deer enclosure no longer exists. The park is also popular with runners due to its inclines.

A short excursion into the history of Berlin: In the 19th century, trading in tropical timber and ivory was particularly lucrative. The tree nursery owner and trader in all sorts of exotic plants, Theodor Francke, took advantage of this. He finally used the generous profits from his business to commemorate his passion - the rare and beautiful plants. This is how the Theodor-Francke-Park, or Franckepark for short, was created, adding a botanical attraction to the Tempelhof district. In 1875 it was implemented according to the master's plans by Jonathan Kaehler.
