The Tegernsee is a fine destination, scenic top and also the starting point of many great tours, e.g. to Austria or the Valepp valley. This route is a good alternative to the busy federal roads, which are also clogged on weekends. Hardly any traffic, always a wonderful view of the mountains - these are the alternatives.
