The Hinterhornalm is a private mountain inn in the Karwendel. It belongs to Gnadenwald, lies at an altitude of 1,522 meters and, depending on snow conditions, is open from mid-May to early November. The alpine inn with sun terrace offers a spectacular view over the Inn Valley to the Stubai and Tux Prealps: hinterhornalm.at.

The Hinterhornalm is a popular destination and a good starting point for hikes, as you can reach the hut even by car. A toll road (€ 4.50 / car) leads up to the alpine hut. If you are lucky, you will also meet a few South American mountain dwellers here: on the Hinterhornalm there are some lamas living.
