Built in 1868 at the northern entrance to Selsingen. However, since the wind conditions here were unfavorable, the mill was dismantled in 1873 and rebuilt at its current location south of Selsingen.
In 1907 the mill's wings were badly damaged, in 1954 the mill became too unprofitable and was replaced by a sawmill, and in 1971 it burned down. As a result, it was already considered to have the mill ruin blown up as a military exercise object (for the nearby Seedorf barracks).
