Climbers, who have planned enough time for the hut rise and would like to ascend with pleasure to the hut, offers the Trettachtal a scenic possibility to bring on still well-developed hiking trails to operating temperature. Recommended is the variant from the mill bridge in Oberstdorf, on the trail of the long distance trail E5. Here it is entertaining on pits, Dietersberg and Gottenried to Spielmannsau. Alternatively, a mountain bus is available from the station.

First part of the E5 of the crossing of the Alps. From Oberstdorf to Spielmannsau there are almost 200 meters in altitude that you hardly notice on the paved road.
