During the sailing season it is fun to watch boats here. You can buy old stuff and ice cream here. The Pondskoekersluis connects the Kerkvaart with De Kromme Mijdrecht. The lock owes its name to a biscuit factory that used to be in Mijdrecht. The ingredients for the cookies were supplied via water. The skippers of the freight ships that came through the lock were allowed to pay in cake.
