        Beautiful lakes! Starting point for this tour is Espot. From there take a jeep taxi to the Estany de Maurici (worth seeing!) Price per person in June 2017 10.50 € / round trip. From here, walk uphill past the Cascada de Ratera waterfall to Estany Ratera. Here the ways divide. Recommended is the left path to a lookout point with fantastic views of the lower lake Estany de Maurici and the surrounding, partly snow-capped mountains.
        Go back the same way or take a less steep forest path.

              Estany de Ratera is probably one of the most remote points where most mountain tourists arrive who think of nothing more than spending a relaxing day in a wonderful environment.
              It is easily reached by the track that reaches the refuge of Amitges or by detouring through the Ratera waterfall which originates from the drain of this lake.
              On its NE side, which is difficult to access, we see the waterfall that descends from the Abeller ravine. However on the NO side. it receives the waters from the Estanys d'Amitges and the Obagues de Ratera forming a corner with very pleasant shade.
