1. In Roman times, the border between the administrative units of Cologne (Civitas Coloniensis) and Tongeren (Civitas Tungriensis) ran, among other things, from the Weser up the Hill to its source.

La croix Sarlette (1861):
The croix sarlette is located inconspicuously and probably often unnoticed on the gable of the Auberge de la Baraque-Michel. This memorial cross was erected in 1861 and commemorates the death of a young servant of Bullange, Anne-Catherine Sarlette, in the Baraque, who died on August 21, 1860 after a serious illness.
