Fantastic mountain hut with lovingly furnished rooms. The hut is open all year from 9am to 6pm and serves all day hikers with home-cooked food. If you stay overnight up here, you should definitely secure a spot in the hotpot. The large wooden tub stands outside and while you relax in the hot water, you can enjoy the view of the mountains.

The following 2km from the Spießhorn to the mountain inn Krunkelbach-Hütte are my tour highlight! First it goes downhill on a steep root path. You have a magnificent view of the Feldberg. Then we feel the warmth of the sun, leave the forest, roam through the last snow fields this winter and have a great view of the Herzogenhorn. Here we already have a half-time tour and take a break for a snack.

A really nicely located hut with good rooms and soothing hot showers. In the evening there is a steaming, wood-fired pot that invites you to climb in despite the icy air. Don't forget your bathing suit! The hosts could go out of their way to eat.

Is ideally located on several hikes u.a. close to the up / down to the Herzogenhorn. Enough space and seating for all hikers / cyclists and connoisseurs with views of the valley and the mountains. Food very tasty and regionally anchored such. the currant-Schorle vom Bodensee. Goulash soup and stew are excellent as a small snack for in between, rounded off by fine cake for dessert. Nice staff, is very fast - not too crowded, priced in the context of a mountain restaurant.
Also offers a large "bathing tub", but probably more for the winter.
